Parshall Flume Canal
A Parshall flume is a proven open-channel flow measurement device for wastewater and irrigation channels. Its geometry produces a predictable relation between water depth and flow, allowing accurate flow calculation without submerged weirs or velocity probes.
Automation & Integration: install a level transmitter or ultrasonic sensor upstream and feed the depth measurement to PLC/SCADA. Use the calibrated flume equation in PLC logic to compute flow, log flow totals to the historian, and generate automated reporting for effluent compliance.
